Accounting Technician – Dublin 2

A well-established Dublin City Centre based Membership Organisation are looking for an Accounts Technician. This is a permanent, full time role.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within an excellent organisation. There is a super working atmosphere and the successful candidate will be supporting the Financial Controller. This role will suit someone coming from a similar small company background and someone with the ability to learn more and advance in their role.

This role can suit someone who is currently working, available immediately or re-entering the workplace.

Salary:

Responsibilities:

  • Month end reconciliation of the cash books.
  • Accounts Payable – Debtors: processing and posting sales/receipts and reconciliations
  • Accounts Receivable – Creditors: processing and posting invoices/payments and reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Chasing outstanding payments via telephone
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Journal entries, prepayments, accruals, depreciation etc.
  • Preparation of accounts to trial balance stage.
  • Preparation of Revenue reporting requirements and VAT returns
  • Data entry and admin duties
  • Office management duties: stationary and office supply orders
  • Assisting with and attending events on occasion

Qualifications / Experience:

  • IATI Qualified or 1 year completed
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
  • Advance Excel skills and previous experience with accountancy systems
  • Ideal Person: strong team player, mature attitude, trustworthy, accountable
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organisation and administration skills.
  • Team player mentality and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
