Finance Executive – Dublin 1

Our client in the Not for Profit sector is looking for a Finance Executive to join their team. The role of the Finance Executive plays a key role in the Finance department in ensuring the monthly payroll for over 200 staff along with processing and paying of a high volume of invoices are performed within tight deadlines. The Finance Executive will work with the Finance Officer to carry out all activities within the accounts payable department. This role will be reporting to the Finance Operations Supervisor.

Key responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for the processing of the monthly payroll of 200+ employees using
  • Micropay software;
  • Manage and perform the month end close for accounts payable and payroll;
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations;
  • Regular creditor account reconciliations;
  • Process month end reconciliations including prepayments and relevant reporting;
  • Ensure timely processing of a high volume of invoices and creditor payments;
  • Coordinate the resolution of all internal and external queries via a shared mailbox;
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department;
  • Provide cover for other finance staff during holiday leave and other busy periods;
  • Other ad-hoc duties and financial projects as directed by the Finance Operation Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Accounting technician or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience, working in a busy finance department
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience processing payroll for 100 plus staff and dealing with employee queries
  • Experience in accounting and payroll software packages
  • Working knowledge of RCT- Relevant Contract Tax
  • Strong Microsoft Office, particularly excel
  • Experience using Micropay
  • IT system proficiency
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Bank reconciliation experience
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work closely with departments outside of Finance
