Qualified Finance Accountant

Qualified Finance Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) required for a leading international group based in Dublin 11. Our client will consider candidates who are interested in a temporary or permanent assignment.


As Finance Accountant you will be responsible for the weekly and monthly management accounts process and the overall responsibility for questioning and confirming overhead costs in the business. You will support the Head of Finance in the effective running of the finance department both from a people and ledger perspective. You will enjoy working across all levels of an organisation and will have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.


Salary – €50,000 – €60,000


Duties will include but are not limited to

  • Management of month end and year end process
  • Management of balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring integrity of financial accounts, VAT returns, RCT return, P30 returns and others
  • Management of Assistant accountant
  • Preparation and management of yearend audit
  • Management of the treasury function
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Manage compliance with tax legislation in respect of VAT , Corporation tax, Personal tax and C2s, ensuring that all returns are completed accurately and within the organisations and Revenue Commissioner`s deadlines
  • Maintenance of Books of Accounts
  • Management of the fixed asset register and depreciation
  • Contribution to the monthly Accounts reporting pack in respect of Balance Sheet analysis
  • Management of Cash flow
  • Management of the organisations bank accounts


Key requirements

  • Qualified accountant – CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Min 3-4 year’s practical experience
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Work effectively with internal and external team members
  • Oracle experience beneficial
  • Attention to detail, strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven focus on continuous improvement
  • Energy, enthusiasm & flexibility to successfully work with other team members in analysing, understanding of accounting guidelines
