Our client, an industry leading security systems provider is looking for an installations manager to join their team. This role is based in Dublin with overall responsibility for the day to day running of the install works and projects being carried out nationwide across all industry sectors. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of all types of access, monitoring & anti-intrusion equipment within the security systems industry from both a technical and commercial perspective. A high level of administration and people management skills will be required for this role.

 

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Day to day management of Installation Engineering team Nationwide.
  • Deliver Monthly Budget V Annual Target
  • Managing and delivering projects within budget. (total at any time can be from 150-250 different jobs varying in size and price)
  • Monitoring day to day cost associated with department. Monitoring of all project changes and the cost implications.
  • Managing car and van fleet for approximately 40 vehicles, including negotiating lease details, lease costs and day to day fleet requirements.
  • Developing Risk and Method statements for all projects.
  • Manage Sub –contractors from work quotes, purchase orders Invoicing to payment.
  • Managing and agreeing sub-contractor hourly rates.
  • Managing installation team holidays throughout year.
  • Managing project leader as direct line manager.
  • On site meetings with clients during projects.
  • Developing client project updates.
  • Managing and controlling project equipment procurement, deliveries and returns.
  • Developing of large project plans from equipment procurement
  • Managing project completion paperwork.
  • Managing of digital communication device paperwork and NSAI certification in conjunction with control room and latest standards.
  • Managing project manuals, test sheets and completion cert process.
  • Maintaining and developing files for all project associated with NASI auditing.
  • Developing and keeping up to date comprehensive test sheets and testing procedure packs.
  • Developing and implementing effective problem solving for project when required.
  • Be a go-to person for all sales team including Sales Director in relation to project queries and ongoing status.
  • Develop Installation division reports v Area Income, travel, job cancellations, salesman monthly sales and invoicing etc.

 

ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and up-skill engineers to their best abilities.
  • Developing team of engineers in conjunction with latest system technology.
  • Recognising engineering training requirements.
  • Monitoring and signing off of the engineer timesheets.
  • Liaise with pay role department for all installation team details.
  • Monitor on site health and safety for all engineers to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Liaise with HR department for all engineering disciplinary issues.
  • Performance reviews with engineering staff.
  • Conduct interviews and review qualities of any new engineering staff prior to offering employment.
  • Schedule & facilitate Engineer meetings, develop engineer v productivity, non-productivity, travel, etc reports.

    HEALTH &SAFETY INTERACTIONS

  • Ensure Engineer awareness & compliance with G4S H&S policies.
  • Conduct Engineer plant inspections.
  • Liaise with client safety teams prior to commencing on projects to assure compliance.

SALES TEAM INTERACTIONS

  • Working with sales team on project costing and equipment requirements.
  • Be a go-to person for all sales team including Sales Director in relation to project queries and ongoing status.
  • Complete site visits with sales team during sales process.

CREDIT CONTROL INTERACTIONS

  • Managing and controlling monthly invoicing.
  • Assisting accounts department with outstanding accounts.
  • Monitoring project cancellations and reductions. 
  • Agree and maintain interim project claims with clients and accounts team.
  • Developing final account details for all projects. 
  • Liaise with accounts team on all job status. 
  • Developing reports on all key performance indicators associated with engineer productivity, non-productivity, and sick times, service down times, service works etc.
  • Develop reports on installation department key performance indicator associated with monthly sales, monthly invoicing, cancellations etc.
  • Managing and agreeing credits values with suppliers for faulty equipment supplied.
  • Weekly review operational queries with credit control Dept. Attend meetings with customer and client accounts depts. to resolve payment issues or delays.

    STORES/ EQUIPMENT

  •  Liaise with stores team leader to ensure correct stock product & levels are in place to support job and Project requirements.
  • Review stores performance and generate efficiency reports associated with stores v installation.
  • Review and monitor warranty returns and unused job equipment v Job actual.
  •  Liaise with stores leader on any equipment changes required for projects.

Experience: Security Systems Management: 4 years (Preferred)

Education: Advanced/Higher Certificate (Preferred)

Location: Dublin (Preferred)

Language: English (Required)
