Description:

The client in Mississauga with 20 year of operations in the Canadian market providing cabling installations, upgrading to existing networks and striving to be a premium cable company focused on customer service has engaged Osborne Recruitment to help find a Senior Cabling Technician to join their Canadian own organization because of their recent major expansion.
The organization with a great company culture has increased its customer service by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions or escalating to Project Management for resolution.

Salary: $25/hour to start, paid Benefits, Company bonus and Field truck will be provided

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and install network installations by using work orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications provided from Project Managers.
  • Scheduling installations for ongoing projects using the clients service management system
  • Managing the warehouse and its processes including receiving inventory and labeling
  • Support to Project Managers as required
  • Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, cabinets, J-hooks or D-rings) by using power or manual fasteners, drills or other power equipment.
  • Install or maintain existing fire stopping systems in conduits, trays, wall/ceiling/floor penetrations.
  • Document network by labeling cables and recording as built diagrams and specifications. This includes Fluke Testing of installations.

Requirement:

  • Experienced coordinating services and or projects
  • Must be details oriented and organized
  • Be able to implement new process which enhance efficiencies of the client’s systems
  • Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, cabinets, J-hooks or D-rings) by using power or manual fasteners, drills or other power equipment.

Desired Skills:

  • Must work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment, usually in a leadership role.
  • Must have knowledge of basic computer skills and be able to demonstrate good writing skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable in codes, industry standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and follow instructions properly.
